Throughout February couples can enjoy “28 Days of Romance” at Umtamvuna View Cabanas. So, if you miss out booking the Valentine’s weekend, you can choose any other date during February to celebrate the most romantic holiday of the year! For the Romantic at heart we have provided a ‘Time With Your Valentine’ package which includes; heart shaped artificial bridal rose-petals on your bed, romantic fairy lights above the bed headboard, battery operated fairy lights on bedside tables, tea candles on the veranda and an arrival “chilled Ice Tea” for two due to the covid ‘alcohol restrictions’.

 

Umtamvuna View Self Catering Cabanas is situated in a secluded cul-de-sac in a rural setting overlooking panoramic views of the Umtamvuna Gorge valley, picturesque mountains and a glimpse of the river which divides Kwa Zulu Natal from the (Transkei) and Eastern Cape.  Umtamvuna View Cabanas has the feeling of tranquillity and remoteness due to its location but is within easy commuting distance to Port Edward town, shops, beach and the Wild Coast Casino as well as other well-known local attractions.  If you need a piece of heaven to unwind and totally relax away from all the crowds, then this is the place for you. It's the perfect time to whisk your loved one away for a romantic getaway in a Cabana that is full of character with beautiful detail and breath-taking views to make you fall in love all over again.

Umtamvuna View Cabanas is self-catering and do not provide any meals.  We are situated in a subtropical climate, please bring insect repellent/coils and sprays as it is the season for mosquitos. We do not allow the use of our towels at the pool area and request that you bring your own swimming towels for this.  All bed linen and pillows are supplied and an extra blanket is provided in case of cold weather.  Basic toiletries are provided; please bring any personal toiletries you may require. A hair drier and an iron are provided.  There is a TV with basic DSTV.  We operate on Eskom power and have an electric stove, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer and kettle etc. Small battery operated lamp is provided in the event of Eskom outages, but you may find your own torch handy in such circumstances.  There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, dry cloths, dish soap, cutlery and crockery for normal cooking and dining use. There are communal braai areas in the garden and at the pool.  Due to Insurance restraints we cannot allow any portable braai’s or open fires on the verandas.   Charcoal, firelighters and wood can be purchased from the office if you want to use the braai or fire pit in the garden.

Remember to bring enough food and drink suitable for the duration of your stay, if you forget anything there are 2 grocery stores within a 8km drive, however it is advisable to stock up prior to arrival.  A small library is on site, offering an assortment of books as well as a number of novels.
